New Year 2026 tour in Lapland starts with arriving to Kittilä airport with own arrangements. If you need our help on flights, please request via email. You will be picked-up from the Kittilä and drive approx. 1,5 h to Enontekiö. Check-in to your hotel, just next to the untouched nature. Dinner will be served at the hotel.

30.12.2025 Tuesday | Snowshoeing & Reindeer safari (B, L, D)

Today we spend time outdoors snowshoeing which brings you as close to the magical nature of Lapland as possible. Experience the incredible power of snowshoes, which will carry you even when the snow reaches up to your waist. On this journey, we’ll trek through a beautiful forest and ascend to a nearby fell, where stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountain landscapes await. Here, we’ll stop by the campfire to enjoy a hearty soup lunch and a warm drink. Our skilled guide will lead the way, sharing fascinating insights about Lapland’s nature and wildlife. This tour is perfect for nature lovers and those seeking to enjoy the landscapes in an eco-friendly way. Duration 2h.

The unforgettable reindeer safari you’ll meet a skilled herder who can answer fascinating questions about these remarkable arctic animals. You’ll even have the chance to feed the reindeer their favorite treats! Afterwards, take a seat in a traditional reindeer sleigh – the most mystical and ancient mode of transportation in Lapland, where no two journeys are ever the same. For thousands of years, reindeer have been an irreplaceable means of travel for the indigenous people, helping them survive in the extreme Arctic conditions. Whether the journey was fast or slow, the reindeer always brought them to their destination. Duration 2h.

31.12.2025 Wednesday | Husky Farm and safari (B, L, D)

New year is almost here! Lapland offers extra dark sky and hopefully nature’s own fireworks, Northern Lights will be shown especially today!

The experience takes you deep into the world of these energetic sled dogs by visiting a husky farm where you meet the dogs and learn about their training, daily care and life in the Arctic. After the introduction, you will go on an exciting sledding trip, sliding through the snowy paths while being led by the huskies. After the trip, you can enjoy a warm snack surrounded by the peaceful wilderness of Lapland. Duration 4h.

1.1.2026 Thursday | Snowmobile Adventure (B, L, D)

The snowmobile safari takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of Pallas. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the peace of Lapland’s nature and stunning fell scenery. During the journey, we will take a break during which we will enjoy warm drinks and a light snack, giving you a moment to recharge and take in the serene wilderness. This experience is perfect for those looking for a shorter adventure in the wintery outdoors! All snowmobile safaris include a thorough safety briefing, driving instructions, and guidance from an experienced guide to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Duration 2h.

Important information
For this safari, participants must be a minimum of 15 years old and have a height of at least 140 cm. Children will be riding as passengers, and we encourage drivers to take into consideration the active nature of the tour and its extended duration when making their booking. The driver of a snowmobile must be at least 18 years old and in possession of a driving license valid in Finland. The snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Securing self-liability insurance for your snowmobile prior to the safari minimizes potential self-liability costs to a maximum of 250 €/person/snowmobile/accident, down from the standard 1000 € in case of an accident. This insurance is individualized and applicable for a single snowmobile safari.

Cancelation conditions

Free cancellation is not possible after reservation fee. New Year is extremely high season in Lapland. We recommend strongly, all participants have personal travel insurance valid for the entire duration of the trip, including cancellation coverage.

We reserve the rights to possible price, schedule and program changes. We also reserve the right to a price check for reasons beyond Kon-Tiki Tours’ control, e.g. when the exchange rate, fuel, official or flight tax costs increase.

Due to the special nature of our trips, exceptional regulations regarding the mode of transport (e.g. reservation and sales conditions for scheduled flights), exceptional accommodation conditions and the special conditions of the travel destination, we also apply special conditions, which the customer receives as an attachment to the trip invoice.
